As an option for purchasing hardware, SunGard Public Sector offers custom-built 7i server farms to your organization. Assembled and supported by the SunGard Public Sector systems team, the servers are customized to deliver top performance and ease maintenance tasks. Components used in the servers are of high quality and selected for their reliability and performance. Pricing is competitive with comparative brand name offerings.

• Parts are made to industry standard wherever possible; you are not limited to what a manufacturer offers. Competitors such as Dell and Compaq typically use hardware assembled by the lowest bidder. Although price is a factor, we will not compromise the finished product by cutting corners on particular assembly pieces. Instead, we use the best combination of performance and price when selecting hardware components.
• SunGard Public Sector performs hardware and software installation.
• Hardware warranty is good for one year, with an option to purchase a three-year warranty for $750.
• Wherever possible, hardware parts can be pulled for maintenance and repair without turning off the machine. The cooling fans, power supplies and hard drives are all "hot swappable" and can be unfastened, removed and replaced seamlessly.
• Serversare small in size and use a fraction of the power of larger units.
