SunGard Public Sector has performed hundreds of IFAS implementations. Our experience has shown us that successful software implementations are due to a combination of the capability of the software, quality and commitment of the people involved, and the effectiveness of the implementation methodology. The methodology used to implement your software is the key factor in lowering risk and achieving a successful implementation.

We have used our experience to construct our proprietary OnTrack implementation methodology. OnTrack is deliverable-based, meaning that each aspect of progress towards a successful implementation is accomplished through completing a pre-defined tangible item.

Throughout the implementation, the project management team’s goal is to keep the project organized, on-schedule and on-budget. A number of project management tools are provided to assist your project manager in leading the project effort, including high level and detailed project plans, an issues log, a project team organization chart and a comprehensive project communication plan that addresses the communication needs for every internal and external stakeholder.

The bottom line is that we want to see a successful implementation and satisfied end-users. The OnTrack methodology is a proven and effective way for us to achieve this goal together.

The OnTrack map uses “tracks” (aspects of work) and “stages” (time periods) to logically define each step of the implementation process, including support after your go-live date.
